more updates

* Carter is officially 13 pounds. he eats like mad. also, his favorite activity is to stare at the wall, and make noises at the wall, and smile at the wall. I spend a lot of time wondering what he's looking at. also, he now actually likes being naked, which has made changing his diaper much easier.

* I will probably get a job with CVSD as a lunch lady sub. super cool, I know. But its really flexible, therefore good for a mommy who cant always get a babysitter and has baby doctor appointments and what not. Oddly enough I also have an interview with Macys for a seasonal job. Crazy. Jake, after having like seven interviews last week, is still unemployed. It sucks. Although he has some odd jobs running, like working on this house for his friend Jake. On the bright side someone anonymously paid our rent this month, and Dr Drice actually paid me for judging this time. Good story.

* I started writing again. = ) of course now I type with one hand & burp with the other.  btw- Ive learned that sleep is not the only thing thats not actually nessecary, neither is my left  arm. I can write, clean, do laundry and dishes, cook, change lightbulbs, ect... with carter in my other arm. fo reals.

* carter was a pumpkin for halloween. We went to the church for the harvest fest. we put him in the stroller and trunk-o-treated it up. Only half the cars felt the need to point out the our child was too small for candy and that we are horrible people. In other news, I ate so many candy bars that my stomach just quit hurting today. yay for halloween.

* the rocker is hilarious and disturbing. Rainn wilson should wear clothing. even in the shower.

* my sister had her baby. hes tiny. shes still crazy.

* Jake and I have officially reached that "weve been married forever" poiny wear we have too many inside jokes that we cant even attempt to explain, we say the same things, we even randomly burst out in the same songs at the same time. i lover him.

updates

*carter is doing good, hes 12 and a half pounds now and has learned how to smile and coo! hes a lot of fun and is a doll.

*we randomly have free wifi at our house. its spiffy.

* ive learned sleep isnt actually nessecary. today i saw a facebook update that said "only four hours of sleep last night- uggs" i felt both envy and anger beause i would probably sell my right arm for a four hour chunk of sleep. and i was like 'thats plenty of sleep". babies dont believe in sleep, at least in chunks longer than 20 minutes. hes started to sleep better now but the point is you can go at least six weeks with little to no sleep.

*im judging the varsity warmup tommorrow.

*my sister is having her baby on monday- c section. yay.

so thats about it. my life is boring - unless hangng daipers and playing with carter is exciting. i enjoy it.

sooooooo

I'm getting married today.

Idk if its because Im pregnant, but when I saw the room set up yesterday, I was like ready to cry. Its so pretty and simple but so so.... us. I'm so excited, Jake is exactly the kind of Man I've always wanted to Marry. its suprises me still how he thinks about me in even the littlest things and how he can see me at my absolute worst and just hug me.

There will be picutres soon. I just thought I might as well blog about the fact that today is my wedding day. Normally my life is boring.

on a similar note, I've decided that honeymoons were actually invented so couples could hide form their in laws and anyone else who drove them CRAZY planning the wedding. just a thought- I'm really excited to get away. i've been home two days.

if you don't know why I care, you probably need to talk to me more.

http://donmilleris.com/

the blog of donald miller. this makes me happy.

"This makes me wonder, from a sociological perspective, if war is an appropriate metaphor for what is happening in culture. It seems to me what is actually happening is more a heated democratic debate.

In the simplest terms, war seems to be one army fighting another army until complete annihilation or surrender is reached from either party. Is this what liberals want? Is this what conservatives desire? If not, then should we still call it a war?"

good stuff.

so my friend Will, who is like uber journalist-y, interviewed Mike Huckabee yesterday. I am am severely Jealous, and I know you probably hate him, but quite frankly I still like him because he was the ONLY candidate with good views on education. What is he doing now, you may ask, he is fundraising for music education. but here's a link to the blog. you should check it out, its pretty interesting what Huckabee said about evangelicals and voting (he doesn't advocate the crazy conservative block, which is ironic)......
